This is part of my class session today started with an activity in connection with classmates and with the theme: Excel spreadsheet. The dynamics of the coins took place: in groups of 5 students, turning them spend 15 coins each time; packages first 15 coins, then in packs of 5 coins and then packs 1 coin.
They are calculated and recorded times of each team. Exercise is analyzed and reflects.
In a second point in the class, I present the SENASOFT 2015 event and invite all students to attend the event with another teacher because I will be meeting in Bogota in Week 6 of Haaga Helia.

Luz Amparo,
ResponderBorrarThanks for sharing the edited video of your teaching practice (the other videos were so short that I decided to focus on the longer one)
First, you start by introducing the activity to the students who are going to work in 3 groups with different names. An assistant /a student is taking notes on the whiteboard. Students then start playing the game that consists of several rounds. Moreover, you ask students to analyse what has been happening during this activity and why the results (=figures) are different.
Second, you tell them about an event in which they can participate while you are away,
Third, a student starts presenting her PP presentation.
Highlights:
-You use a playful and collaborative activity
-The general atmosphere is positive: students are enthusiastic, smiling and sometimes laughing
-You have an assistant /student (the one writing on the board)
-This is a computer classroom, yet there is enough space to facilitate an activity where students can stand, move and work in small groups.
Questions:
-How do you see your role(s) in that session ?
-What about the role(s) of the students ?
-Is the person writing on the board an external assistant or a student from the group ? Do you often ask students to help you during an activity ? How do they like to play that role ?
-What is the relevance of the event for the students ? Is it a compulsory part of the course ? Did you give them a particular assignment in relation with this event ? Did you have the chance to collect their impressions, what they learned etc ?
-What is the main idea behind the PP presentation ? How did the presentations go ? How were students assessed and according to which assessment criteria ? (that part of the video was unfortunately too short)
Looking forward to your answers, preferably today,
Best David
